Clydesdale Bank Manager of the Month for August
Celtic Manager Tony Mowbray has been named Clydesdale Bank Premier League Manager of the Month for August.
Tony Mowbray has had an impressive start to life as Celtic manager since returning to the SPL following a spell in charge of West Bromwich Albion. His new look Celtic side took maximum points from their opening three Clydesdale Bank Premier League fixtures in August, including difficult away trips to Aberdeen and Hibs. Celtic ended the month tied with close rivals Rangers at the top of the Clydesdale Bank Premier League.
Clydesdale Bank Player of the Month for August
Dundee United forward Danny Cadamarteri has been named Clydesdale Bank Premier League Player of the Month for August.
A product of the Everton youth system Danny played for a total of eight clubs south of the border before joining Dundee United in the summer under freedom of contract. Danny appears to be relishing the fresh challenge of SPL football capping his excellent performances in August with three goals, including a double on his Clydesdale Bank Premier League debut against Hearts.
Clydesdale Bank Young Player of the Month for August
Motherwell midfielder Ross Forbes has been named Clydesdale Bank Young Player of the Month for August.
A product of the Motherwell youth system, Ross spent much of last season with the reserves before heading out on loan to Dumbarton where he won a league medal and some invaluable first-team experience. Having returned to Fir Park this summer, Forbes has re-paid the faith of new manager Jim Gannon starring in each of Motherwellâs three league matches during August, scoring twice, to earn him the award of Clydesdale Bank Premier League Young Player of the Month.
