Clydesdale Bank Manager of the Month for April

Celtic Manager Neil Lennon has been named Clydesdale Bank Premier League Manager of the Month for April.

Neil Lennon guided his side unbeaten throughout the month with six victories and one draw.  Celtic were on sensational form recording a 4-0 win over Kilmarnock and a convincing 4-1 victory over Dundee United, as well as picking up maximum points against Hamilton, Hibs, St Mirren and St Johnstone.  Neil Lennon again proved his credentials as a manager as he led Celtic to a hard fought draw at Ibrox, ensuring he left the home of his title rivals Rangers unbeaten this season.  It was this impressive form which led the panel to pick him as their Clydesdale Bank Premier League Manager of the Month for April.

Clydesdale Bank Player of the Month for April

Rangers goalkeeper Allan McGregor has been named Clydesdale Bank Premier League Player of the Month for April.

McGregor has been in superb form throughout the month, helping his team by recording six clean sheets as Rangers returned to the top of the Clydesdale Bank Premier League.  McGregor demonstrated his value to his side with a vital penalty save as Rangers defeated Hamilton 1-0 as well as keeping blanks in tough games against St Johnstone, Aberdeen, Dundee United, Motherwell and Celtic.  It was his clean sheet against his Glasgow rivals however that could prove the most pivotal in the race for the championship and McGregor showed his true worth to the side that day as he pulled off a penalty save from Georgios Samaras in the 0-0 draw at Ibrox.  It was this string of performances along with his consistent ability to pull off key saves at vital times that led the panel to vote him their Clydesdale Bank Premier League Player of the Month.

Clydesdale Bank Young Player of the Month for April

Motherwell forward Jamie Murphy has been named Clydesdale Bank Premier League Young Player of the Month for April.  

Murphy has been on excellent form throughout April as he helped Motherwell secure their top six position in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League.  Murphy played a key role in his side’s 2-1 win over Dundee United in which he scored the opener as well as helping his side to a win over Aberdeen and two draws against Hearts, including a superb fight back from 3 goals down.  It was Murphy’s attacking threat and pace that led the panel to vote him their Clydesdale Bank Young Player of the Month.
