Clydesdale Bank Manager of the Month for April
Hamilton Academical Manager Billy Reid has been named Clydesdale Bank Premier League Manager of the Month for April.
Despite having limited resources at his disposal, Reid guided Hamilton through a terrific April in which they won three of their four matches securing their top flight status with games to spare. Indeed no other team scored more league goals than Hamilton during the month (eight) while Reidâs men were equally successful in defence conceding just twice in their four April Clydesdale Bank Premier League matches. Noting the achievement of securing Hamilton Academical a third successive season in Scotlandâs top flight the panel felt Billy Reid was the stand out candidate for the award of Clydesdale Bank Premier League Manager of the Month for April.
Clydesdale Bank Player of the Month for April
Rangers striker Kenny Miller has been named Clydesdale Bank Premier League Player of the Month for April.
Millerâs performances during the month in which Rangers clinched their second consecutive SPL title has earned him the seasonâs final Clydesdale Bank Player of the Month award. The 30-year-old started all five of Rangersâ league matches in April scoring twice as the Ibrox club took 13 points from a possible 15 to ensure they ended the season as Clydesdale Bank Premier League champions. The Scotland strikerâs workrate, vital goals and overall contribution to the team made him a stand out for this monthâs Clydesdale Bank Premier League Player of the Month award.
Clydesdale Bank Young Player of the Month for April
St Mirren youngster Graham Carey has been named Clydesdale Bank Premier League Young Player of the Month for April.
The 20 year old midfielder joined St Mirren on loan from Celtic in January 2010.
