Clydesdale Bank Manager of the Month for March
Dundee United Manager Peter Houston has been named Clydesdale Bank Premier League Manager of the Month for March.
Since taking over in January, Peter Houston has led Dundee United to third place in the SPL, with the team finishing March only 5 points behind second placed Celtic. March saw the team win three games and draw one, beating Hearts, Motherwell and Hibs, teams close to them in the league, scoring 10 SPL goals over the month. United managed these results in a month in which they also had a couple of hard Scottish Cup games against Rangers.
Clydesdale Bank Player of the Month for March
Celtic striker Robbie Keane has been named Clydesdale Bank Premier League Player of the Month for March.
Ireland international captain Keane has made quite an impact since joining Celtic on loan from Tottenham Hotspur during the January transfer window. The 29-year-old scored five league goals during March making him the SPLâs top scorer for the month. His goal scoring along with his great touch and skill on the ball, made him a stand out for this monthâs Clydesdale Bank player of the month.
Clydesdale Bank Young Player of the Month for March
Falkirk midfielder Ryan Flynn has been named Clydesdale Bank Premier League Young Player of the Month for March.
Flynn, who left Falkirkâs youth set up to sign for Liverpool as a 16-year-old in 2005, has made quite an impression since rejoining the Bairns from the English Premiership outfit â firmly establishing himself as a key member of the Falkirk first team. The 21-year-old boosted Falkirkâs hopes of top flight survival this season with a string of fine performances during March, scoring in two of the clubâs five Clydesdale Bank Premier League fixtures.
