Clydesdale Bank Manager of the Month for January
Motherwell Manager Craig Brown has been named Clydesdale Bank Premier League Manager of the Month for January.
Craig Brownâs impressive return to club management with Motherwell has convinced the Lanarkshire club to offer the former Scotland boss the position on a permanent basis following the departure of Jim Gannon at the end of December. Brown, who has lost just one league match since taking charge at Fir Park, led the Steelmen through an unbeaten January in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League collecting 10 points courtesy of victories over Aberdeen, Kilmarnock and St. Mirren and a draw away to Falkirk.
Clydesdale Bank Player of the Month for January
Rangers midfielder Steven Davis has been named Clydesdale Bank Premier League Player of the Month for January.
At a time when the Champions were missing a number of key first team players, Northern Ireland international Davis drove his side to an unbeaten January with a string of Man of the Match displays. The ex-Aston Villa and Fulham player scored twice in the Clydesdale Bank Premier league during the month as Rangers extended their lead at the top of the table to 10 points.
Clydesdale Bank Young Player of the Month for January
Aberdeenâs 16-year-old midfielder Fraser Fyvie has been named Clydesdale Bank Premier League Young Player of the Month for January.
Fyvie, who recently signed a new 3-year contract at Pittodrie, has made quite an impression since his introduction the Aberdeen first team at the tender age of just sixteen years and six months. The midfielder started in each of the clubâs five Clydesdale Bank Premier League fixtures in January scoring his first senior goal in the 3-0 win over Hearts â an achievement which made him the SPLâs youngest ever goalscorer.
