Clydesdale Bank Manager of the Month for December
Rangers Manager Walter Smith has been named Clydesdale Bank Premier League Manager of the Month for December.
December was an excellent month for Rangers, playing and winning six games, scoring 26 goals in the process, with at least 3 goals in every match. Wins over Falkirk, St Johnstone, Motherwell, Dundee United and Hibernian put Rangers top of the Clydesdale Bank Premier League, finishing the year 6 points ahead of their nearest rivals.
Clydesdale Bank Player of the Month for December
Rangers striker Kris Boyd has been named Clydesdale Bank Premier League Player of the Month for December.
Boyd played a significant part towards Rangers good month, with 11 goals in December, making him the monthâs top scorer. His five goals in one game against Dundee United put him in the record books, his overall total of 160 SPL goals making him the SPLâs record top goalscorer.
Clydesdale Bank Young Player of the Month for December
Hibernian forward Anthony Stokes has been named Clydesdale Bank Premier League Young Player of the Month for December.
Stokes has made an impressive start to his Hibs career since signing from Sunderland in August of last year with 11 goals in just 19 games. The Irish forward netted in each of Hibernianâs four Clydesdale Bank Premier League matches in December including doubles against Motherwell and Aberdeen, leading the panel to select him as the leagueâs top young player for December
