Kilmarnock 1 Rangers 0
Rangers missed the chance to re-open a seven-point gap at the top of the Clydesdale Bank Premier League.  Manuel Pascali's late goal was enough to give Killie their first home win over Rangers in 33 attempts.  Gers had Sone Aluko making his debut and after a tame first-half the ex-Aberdeen winger showed spark after the break.  Killie came close when Shiels' free-kick hit Jelavic's head and smacked against his own crossbar with Allan McGregor beaten.  But the Ibrox side threatened when Kane Hemmings - a sub for injured Kyle Lafferty - released Aluko, whose effort was cleared off the line by James Fowler with Cammy Bell beaten.  Aluko then saw a low drive rebound off the post but Killie shocked Rangers when they went in front with ten minutes left.  Aluko was slow to react when Garry Hay lofted the ball forward and played Pascali on and the home skipper nodded cleverly over McGregor. Substitute Alejandro Bedoya shot straight at Bell in the closing seconds as Kilmarnock held on for a historic victory.

Celtic 5 St Mirren 0
Celtic closed the gap at the top of the table to four points with a comprehensive win over Saints.  Georgios Samaras got the party at Celtic Park started with a drive which eluded the clutches of Craig Samson, then Samaras and Anthony Stokes set up Gary Hooper for his first after just eight minutes.  Stokes also created the third for Hooper early in the second-half and the Englishman completed his hat-trick when he touched the ball over Samson after a one-two with Stokes.  Celtic introduced youngster Dylan McGeouch for James Forrest and he scored the fifth with a mazy run which he finished off with a left-foot drive.

Dunfermline Athletic 3 Aberdeen 3
Aberdeen fought back from two goals behind to snatch a late point against Dunfermline.  The visitors went ahead in first-half injury time when Andrew Considine headed home Rob Milsom's corner but Andrew Barrowman levelled early in the second half after David Gonzalez blocked Alex Keddie's header.  Dunfermline went in front from David Graham's low strike after he'd eluded Youl Mawene then Liam Buchanan's close-range effort appeared to put the Pars in control.  But Alex Keddie's own goal from Milsom's corner nine minutes from time set up a grandstand finale and Josh Magennis pounced on Gary Mason's poor control and drove in to ensure a point for each side.

Hearts 2 Inverness Caledonian Thistle 1
Hearts ended their four-match goal drought with a hard-fought win at Tynecastle.  After a goalless first half, Rudi Skacel met John Sutton's flick and drove low and hard into the Caley Thistle net seconds after the re-start.  Inverness CT equalised after 57 minutes when Ross Tokely headed home a Jonny Hayes free-kick, but the home side's Eggert Jonsson clinched the points with a simple header from a David Templeton corner 15 minutes from time.

Motherwell 0 Dundee United 0
Motherwell have won only one home Clydesdale Bank Premier League game in seven after a windblown stalemate at Fir Park.  Neither side could break the deadlock on a day when both sides played it safe because of the conditions.  Michael Higdon had a first-half effort disallowed because the ball had gone out of play before reaching him and Jon Daly's effort was saved after Shaun Hutchinson missed Garry Kenneth's cross.  Hutchinson had a second-half header saved by Dusan Pernis then Steve Jennings saved his side with a great saving tackle on John Rankin.

St Johnstone 3 Hibernian 1
New manager Pat Fenlon looked on as his side slumped to defeat after leading at McDiarmid Park - but Saints closed the gap between them and Motherwell to seven points.  Hibs went ahead when Peter Enckleman blocked Leigh Griffths' effort and Richie Towell forced in the rebound.  Saints levelled when Fran Sandaza robbed David Stephens of possession then fired in a shot that hit the post - but the striker followed up to convert the rebound.  Deep into first-half injury time, Saints went ahead when David MacKay's cross was nodded home by Marcus Haber, an early sub for Cillian Sheridan.  It got worse for the visitors two minutes after the break when Stephens' challenge on Murray Davidson was penalised and MacKay swept the free-kick past keeper Graham Stack into the net.  Haber could've added a fourth for St Johnstone but his effort hit the post.
