Celtic 2 Dunfermline Athletic 1
Celtic made it difficult for themselves - but eventually saw off battling Dunfermline to close the gap on Rangers to seven points. Gary Hooper gave the home side the perfect start when he took advantage of Paul Willis' slack pass to drill the ball past Paul Gallacher. The home team then took total control of the game when James Forrest scored following Hooper's backheel pass after 13 minutes. Paul Burns conceded a penalty early in the second-half for a foul on Forrest but Ki Sung Yeung drove wide of the target - and Dunfermline gradually got back into the game. Andy Barrowman drove in to make it 2-1 from David Graham's pass and Celtic had to endure a nervous close to the game - with Lennon reacting angrily to a fan's criticism as he went down the tunnel at full-time.
