Hibernian 3 Dundee United 3
Hibs fought back from two goals behind to snatch an Easter Road point in a pulsating game. Garry O'Connor put Hibs ahead when he took Junior Agogo's pass and rounded Dusan Pernis. United drew level when Jon Daly was left with a simple finish after Graham Stack parried John Rankin's drive - and Danny Swanson put the visitors ahead from another Rankin pass five minutes later. United seemed home and dry when Daly bulleted home Paul Dixon's cross - his seventh goal in nine games. But Hibs reduced the leeway when Isaiah Osbourne's shot was deflected past Pernis by Scott Robertson - and they made it 3-3 when O'Connor set up Agogo for a cool finish a minute later. Hibs' fans will have been happy at the fightback - but it still means they've gone nine home games in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League without a win.
Dunfermline Athletic 0 Rangers 4
Rangers made it five away games in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League without conceding a goal in a comprehensive win at East End Park. Carlos Bocanegra headed them in front after eight minutes when he got ahead of Jason Thomson to bullet in from Steve Davis' corner - and eight minutes later the points were as good as secure when fellow American Maurice Edu took Nikica Jelavic's pass and drilled in a left-foot drive. Davis headed wide and Gregg Wylde had a shot saved by Paul Gallacher as Rangers continued to dominate. They added a third five minutes after the break when Stevie Naismith turned the ball in from Davis' pass. Gallacher saved well from both Jelavic and Steven Whittaker as Rangers controlled the game and they added the fourth when a great Davis run gave Jelavic the chance to tee up Naismith for a tap-in and his eighth goal of the season. The win saw Rangers open up a temporary seven-point gap at the top of the table.
Celtic 2 Inverness Caledonian Thistle 0
Celtic overcame some early wobbles to make it seven defeats in ten games for Terry Butcher's Highlanders. Central defenders Daniel Majstorovic and Glenn Loovens had a nervous start but Caley Thistle were unable to take advantage. Celtic made them pay when Joe Ledley took Beram Kayal's pass and beat Ryan Esson with a low drive. James Forrest then held off Graeme Shinnie to score the second following Ki Sung-Yeung's threaded pass. Celtic continued to look unconvincing and Inverness C.T. should have reduced the leeway after the break when Richie Foran's diving header was saved by Fraser Forster.
Motherwell 1 Aberdeen 0
Motherwell stayed third in the table thanks to substitute Bob McHugh's late goal - which piles the pressure on Dons boss Craig Brown. The home side twice came close when Chris Humphrey and Tim Clancy both hit the crossbar on either side of the interval. The game appeared to be petering out until McHugh, on as a substitute for Jamie Murphy, dispossessed Ricky Foster before beating David Gonzalez with a superb drive. Motherwell have now gone eight games unbeaten against the Dons, who have won only once in nine.
St Mirren 3 Kilmarnock 0
Kilmarnock manager Kenny Shiels was left furious at the officials after defeat at New St Mirren Park. Paul McGowan headed in Jeroen Tesselaar's cross for the opener but it was the second goal which infuriated Shiels and his players. The assistant ref decided Stevie Thomson's cross had been blocked by Zdenek Kroca's arm and McGowan added the second from the resulting penalty. Kilmarnock's players had to pull Shiels away from referee Stephen Finnie at the interval and things failed to improve after the break when home substitute Nigel Hasselbaink headed in David van Zanten's cross - with Killie claiming he'd fouled a Rugby Park defender in the build-up. Shiels also ended the game in an argument with a supporter on a bad day for the visitors.
St Johnstone 2 Hearts 0 (Sunday)
Saints grabbed their first home win of the season with a comfortable win over a disappointing Hearts side. The home side took the lead when Dave Mackay and Fran Sandaza set Cillian Sheridan up and the on-loan striker drove home after half-an-hour. Liam Craig shot wide before Saints added a second goal ten minutes after the break. Sandaza was once again the provider, teeing Sheridan up to round Jamie MacDonald and fire home. Hearts are still searching for their first away win since February.
