Rangers 4 Celtic 2 (Sunday)
Rangers came from behind to give Ally McCoist victory in his first Old Firm game as manager. Stevie Naismith grabbed a double for Rangers against a Celtic side who finished with ten men. Rangers went ahead after 22 minutes when Naismith took advantage of Kelvin Wilson's poor clearance and rifled a powerful drive high past Fraser Forster. But Gary Hooper levelled for Celtic eleven minutes later with his fourth goal in seven games against Rangers with a terrific controlled finish from Scott Brown's reverse pass. Seven minutes later Allan McGregor fumbled Old Firm debutant Badr El Kaddouri's long-range drive, which squirmed through his legs into the net. Rangers responded well however and Steven Davis rattled the crossbar with a drive in the opening minute of the second-half, Lafferty then had the ball in the net five minutes later only for the goal to be chalked off - although TV evidence suggested the Northern Irishman was onside. The home side's pressure paid off after 54 minutes when Nikica Jelavic powered home Davis' corner for the equaliser. El Kaddouri's poor headed backpass gave Lafferty a great chance but the striker lobbed wide, then at the other end Glenn Loovens headed against the post. Rangers went in front when Lafferty took advantage of haphazard Celtic defending to drill the ball in from close range - and Celtic finished with ten men when Charlie Mulgrew was sent off for a second yellow card following a challenge on Davis. Rangers added a fourth in stoppage time when Naismith drove in Davis's cross to clinch victory and send them four points clear at the top of the Clydesdale Bank Premier League.
Aberdeen 2 Kilmarnock 2
Aberdeen came back from two goals down to snatch a point at Pittodrie. Paul Heffernan headed Dean Shiels' cross past Jason Brown after 15 minutes to give the visitors the lead - his fifth goal in four games. Shiels then converted Garry Hay's cross for the second, but Craig Brown's side pulled one back when Kari Arnason's cross was turned home by Andy Considine, and they levelled when Arnason's long throw was headed in by Youl Mawene. New frontman Rory Fallon almost won it for the Dons when his header from Rob Milsom's free-kick hit the bar.
Dundee United 3 Inverness Caledonian Thistle 1
Caley Thistle slumped to the bottom of the Clydesdale Bank Premier League table as United grabbed their first win in six games. On-loan Fulham striker Lauri Dalla Valle fired the home side ahead with his first United goal after 13 minutes - but Caley Thistle's Nick Ross forced in an equaliser from Gregory Tade's cross three minutes later. However when Tade lost possession, United swept forward and Danny Swanson's lofted finish beat Ryan Esson just before the break. Home substitute Jon Daly headed the clincher from Paul Dixon's cross with his first touch after 71 minutes.
Dunfermline Athletic 2 Hibernian 2
Dunfermline came from two behind to snatch a point against Hibs and deny the Easter Road side their second victory of the season. Hibs took the lead against the run of play when Ivan Sproule fired into the corner from Martin Scott's pass eight minutes before the break. Garry O'Connor's deflected drive increased their lead six minutes after the break, but Ryan Thomson pulled one back for the home side within two minutes. Late on Graham Stack failed to hold Austin McCann's drive and Jason Thomson's cross-cum-shot was deflected into his own net by Paul Hanlon for the leveller. Dunfermline finished strongly and substitute Andy Barrowman headed over but the Pars had to settle for a point and remain unbeaten in their last four games against Hibs.
Hearts 2 St Mirren 0
Hearts made it six games unbeaten with a deserved win over St Mirren. Jamie Hamill converted from the spot two minutes before the interval after Illias Haddad had brought down Marius Zaliukas. The home side doubled their lead after 69 minutes when Lee Mair headed into his own net, with Ryan Stevenson and Steven Elliot keen to claim the credit for the goal. The only black spot for Paulo Sergio was the pre-match injury to Andy Webster, who limped out of the warm-up to be replaced by Eggert Jonsson.
Motherwell 0 St Johnstone 3
Saints' excellent away record continued as they made it four away games without conceding a goal as they won comprehensively at Fir Park. Cillian Sheridan had already tested Darren Randolph with a long-range drive before Saints took the lead after 19 minutes. Liam Craig's free-kick was headed back across goal by Dave Mackay and when Jamie Adams helped it on, the ball went in off home defender Tim Clancy. Fran Sandaza headed Mackay's cross over as St Johnstone continued to dominate and Chris Millar tested the home 'keeper after the break.
The visitors added a second when Stevie Hammell's wayward pass saw Sandaza nip in ahead of Randolph to score. They added a third when Sandaza's shot was saved but sub Sean Higgins laid the ball back for Craig to tap in six minutes from time. Motherwell could've gone second with a win but were booed off after a lacklustre display.
