Rangers v Hearts (12.30)
Rangers kick off the defence of their title with a home fixture against the side who finished third in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League last season.  Rangers have won twelve and drawn three of the last 15 Ibrox meetings of the clubs.  Hearts haven't won at Ibrox since May 2004.  Rangers won nine and drew one of their last ten games last season.  Rangers will have new signing Juan Manuel Ortiz from Almeria on show, while Jim Jefferies will hand competitive debuts to summer signings John Sutton, Danny Grainger and Mehdi Taouil.  Home skipper David Weir misses out through suspension, while Jambos new signing Jamie Hamill starts a two-game ban.

Aberdeen v St Johnstone
Craig Brown will have new signings Youl Mawene, Isaac Osbourne, David Gonzalez, Chris Clark and Kari Arnason available.  Saints manager Derek McInnes' squad has been bolstered by new arrivals Callum Davidson, David Robertson, Sean Higgins, Frazer Wright, David McCracken and Carl Finnigan.  The home side didn't score a goal in any of the four meetings last season - Saints won twice at Pittodrie and Aberdeen won once at McDiarmid Park and drew their other visit.

Motherwell v Inverness C.T.
Stuart McCall has new signings Michael Higdon and Nicky Law available for their competitive home debuts, while Inverness C.T.  will have new arrivals Greg Tansey, Gregory Tade, Tom Aldred, Andrew Shinnie, Josh Meekings, Billy McKay and Aaron Doran in their squad.  Both sides have won two of the last six meetings with the other two drawn.  Home midfielder Ross Forbes misses out through suspension.

Hibernian v Celtic (Sun 12.30)

Title challengers Celtic will have new signings Adam Matthews, Kelvin Wilson and Victor Wanyama available for their trip to Easter Road, although skipper Scott Brown starts a two-game suspension.  Hibs manager Colin Calderwood's future has been the subject of summer speculation with both Nottingham Forest and Birmingham targeting him.  He has new arrivals Ivan Sproule, Garry O'Connor and Sean O'Hanlon available.  Celtic have won the last five meetings of the sides - Hibs haven't beaten Celtic at Easter Road since December 2008.

Dundee United v Kilmarnock (Sun)
New Kilmarnock manager Kenny Shiels has brought in Danny Racchi, Paul Heffernan, Patrick Ada, Zdenek Kroca and Rory McKeown from down south, as well as Gary Harkins from Dundee and Danny Buijs from Den Haag.  He's also named Manuel Pascali as new club captain.  Former Tannadice favourite Willo Flood, John Rankin and Gary McKay-Stevens are United's trio of new signings.  Kilmarnock haven't won any of the last eight meetings of the sides, although five of those meetings have been drawn.

Dunfermline Athletic v St Mirren (Mon 19.45)

Clydesdale Bank Premier League new arrivals Dunfermline have boosted their squad with the arrivals of Paul Burns, Kevin Rutkiewicz, Paddy Boyle, Andy Barrowman, Paul Gallacher, John Potter and Jason Thomson.  Saints manager Danny Lennon has signed Steven Thompson, Nigel Hasselbaink, Paul McGowan, Graeme Smith, Gary Teale, Graham Carey and Jeroen Tesselaar.  The clubs were both in the SPL five seasons ago - with Dunfermline being unbeaten in the four meetings that season.
