St Mirren 0 Hamilton Academical 1
Hamilton kept their Clydesdale Bank Premier League survival hopes alive with a late win against fellow strugglers St Mirren. Both sides ended with ten men and Saints also lost Hugh Murray who was making a record 459th appearance after only five minutes when he suffered a knee injury in a clash with Jim McAlister. Saints were further depleted just before the half-hour when Jure Travner was sent off by referee Craig Thomson for a second yellow card following a foul on Dougie Imrie. Hamilton sensed their chance of a second consecutive away win but Saints came close when sub Kenny Mclean fired wide of Tomas Cerny. However Accies took the lead when sub Mickael Antoine-Curier headed in Imrie's cross with fifteen minutes left. Hamilton skipper Alex Neil was sent packing for a second yellow card after a foul on Gareth Wardlaw but Accies held out for a win which keeps their survival hopes alive. They are now six points behind St Mirren with three games remaining.
