Rangers 0 Celtic 0 (Sunday)
Old Firm honours were shared but Celtic will be the happier side after a stuffy Ibrox stalemate. Allan McGregor was the home hero with a penalty save from Georgios Samaras eight minutes from time. There were few chances in an edgy first-half but Rangers came close after the break when Kyle Lafferty headed Gregg Wylde's cross narrowly wide. McGregor then made a great save from Daniel Majstorovic's header, but Rangers looked the more likely to break the deadlock, with Lafferty sending a free-kick wide and Stevie Naismith also firing a shot narrowly past. Charlie Mulgrew also saw a header saved by McGregor before referee Craig Thomson awarded a spot-kick following Steven Davis' body-check on Celtic substitute Anthony Stokes - but McGregor dived to his left to save Samaras' kick. The result keeps Rangers a point ahead at the top of the Clydesdale Bank Premier League - but Celtic have a game in hand over their rivals.
Hearts 3 Motherwell 3 (Saturday)
Motherwell fought back from 3-0 down to draw with Hearts at Tynecastle. The home side went ahead when Ryan Stevenson was fouled by Stephen Saunders and Craig Thomson drove in the penalty. Rudi Skacel then fired in the second after a one-two with Stephen Elliott. Stevenson hit the post before adding a third soon after the break when he headed home Suso Santana's cross. Motherwell pulled one back three minutes later when John Sutton headed in Steve Jones' cross. Tom Hateley then narrowed the margin to one as he drove in a free-kick to make it 3-2. The visitors stormed forward in an effort to rescue a point and Franny Jeffers and Maurice Ross forced saves from Marian Kello before Jones fired against the post. 'Wellâs persistence finally paid off when they levelled two minutes from time as Sutton headed in Gavin Gunning's cross. Third-placed Hearts are now seven points ahead of Dundee United, while Motherwell are sixth, two points off Kilmarnock with four rounds of fixtures to play.
Dundee United 4 Kilmarnock 2 (Saturday)
Craig Conway and David Goodwillie were the men who mattered as a depleted Dundee United romped to a win which all but ends Kilmarnock's hopes of catching the fourth-top Taysiders. The home side, missing suspended quartet Paul Dixon, Morgaro Gomis, Sean Dillon and Mihael Kovacevic, forced the visitors back from the start and Goodwillie had already hit the bar before Scott Severin rose unmarked to meet a Conway corner and power his header into the net. United continued to impress and Goodwillie rose to head the second from 12 yards following a cross whipped in by Conway. United finished the game as a contest with two goals in the opening minutes of the second-half. First Goodwillie dived to head home Conway's cross before Conway himself added the fourth with a solo run and a stunning 20-yard drive. Kilmarnock pulled a goal back with a long range effort from half-time substitute David Silva, then Manuel Pascali headed in Silva's corner with three minutes remaining, but United held on for victory.
Hibernian 1 St Mirren 1 (Sunday)
Hibs were held to a draw by a battling St Mirren performance at Easter Road. Akpo Sodje put the home team ahead from Derek Riordan's pass after 26 minutes - his third goal in three games. Liam Miller missed a chance to make it two when he fired over and Hibs were made to pay when Victor Palsson brought down Paul McGowan in the box with Craig Dargo scoring from the resulting spot-kick. Neither side could find a winner after the break and Saints are now ten points ahead of bottom club Hamilton, who play on Monday.
