Dundee United 0  Rangers 4
Rangers opened up a four-point lead at the top of the Clydesdale Bank Premier League but the home side finished the game with just eight men.  Steven Whittaker put Rangers ahead from the penalty spot after 21 minutes after Mihael Kovacevic had been red-carded for a tackle on Stevie Naismith.  Sean Dillon was then shown a red card for a last-ditch tackle on Nikica Jelavic and Whittaker again drove in the spot-kick.  Jelavic made it 3-0 when he slotted in from a narrow angle after Dusan Pernis had saved Steve Davis' shot, but Whittaker missed the chance of a hat-trick of penalties when he blazed his kick wide after Margaro Gomis had been sent off by ref Willie Collum for a push on El Hadji Diouf.  Rangers took advantage of United's depleted ranks when Kyle Lafferty fired home a low left-foot drive eight minutes from time.
