Aberdeen 0 Rangers 1
Rangers closed the gap at the top of the Clydesdale Bank Premier League to two points - but they were pushed all the way by a battling Aberdeen at Pittodrie.  Croat Nikica Jelavic was again the visitors' hero with his second winning goal in four days following his strike at Hamilton on Sunday.  Sone Aluko and Josh Magennis went close early on before Jelavic struck with a spectacular overhead kick from the edge of the box.  Aberdeen pushed forward after the break and came close to levelling - Rob MIlsom coming closest with an effort which was cleared off the Rangers goalline.  However Rangers hung on and now have the chance to return to the top of the table if they beat St Mirren on Saturday, while Aberdeen's performance will have given them a boost going into Sunday's Scottish Cup semi-final against Celtic.
