Hearts 0 Kilmarnock 2
Kilmarnock won at Tynecastle for the second time this season despite finishing with ten men. David Silva put Killie in front five minutes into the second-half when he intercepted Craig Thomson's pass and fired past Marian Kello. Six minutes later Kille were two up when William Gros set up Alexei Eremenko for a cool finish. However Eremenko was later shown a straight red card by ref Stevie McLean for a tackle on David Templeton - with the Hearts winger and Marius Zaliukas yellow-carded in the scuffle that followed.
Celtic 2 Hamilton Academical 0
Two Kris Commons strikes were enough to win it for Celtic. Neil Lennon was serving the first game of his four-match touchline ban and he watched from the stand as Commons lashed in the opener after Scott Brown set up the chance. The Scotland international made it 2-0 early in the second-half when Accies' defender David Elebert's wayward pass was perfect for him to beat Tomas Cerny. Celtic saw out time comfortably against a Hamilton side who look ever more marooned at the foot of the table.
Inverness Caledonian Thistle 3 Motherwell 0
Motherwell manager Stuart McCall was left bemoaning his side's inconsistency as they were comprehensively beaten just six days after their win over table-toppers Celtic. Motherwell had won on their last four visits to Inverness but they were never in it from the moment Shane Sutherland fired in his first senior goal after 18 minutes. Ex-'Well star Richie Foran took advantage of Gavin Gunning's slip to thump in the second before on-loan Burnley frontman Alex Macdonald slotted in Foran's cross to move Caley Thistle to within a point of fifth-placed Motherwell.
St Johnstone 1 Hibernian 1
David Wotherspoon grabbed a late leveller to maintain Hibs' undefeated run. Saints looked to be heading for the three points thanks to Hibs defender Richie Towell's own goal at the start of the second-half. The on-loan Celt turned Peter MacDonald's cross past his stunned 'keeper Mark Brown. But Hibs' sub Darryl Duffy's miscured shot was turned in by Wotherspoon with ten minutes left. Saints almost grabbed a late win when Andy Jackson fired narrowly wide but it was another good point for Colin Calderwood's side.
St Mirren 0 Rangers 1 (Sunday)
On-loan Arsenal kid Kyle Bartley scored his first Rangers goal to keep Walter Smith's side within five points of leaders Celtic. A lacklustre game was settled by Bartley's 24th minute header from Madjid Bougherra's cross. Lee Mair's header was cleared off the line by John Fleck and Kenny McLean volleyed wide but Saints struggled to pose a serious threat and their relegation worries continue despite being seven points ahead of Hamilton. Rangers started with David Healy alongside El Hadji Diouf in attack and Sasa Papac failed to recover from the head knock he received at Parkhead in midweek.
