Midweek review

Aberdeen 1 Hamilton Academical 0
Aberdeen made it two wins in succession - but there was no repeat of last Saturday's goal scoring spree.  The Dons went ahead early on when Jim McAlister brought down Sone Aluko in the box and Chris Maguire scored from the resulting spot-kick.  The Scotland under-21 striker had a great chance to score his second after the break when he took advantage of David Elebert's slip but he dragged his shot wide.  Accies however refused to buckle and pushed forward in the later stages in search of a point - but Dougie Imrie's drive saved by Jamie Langfield was as close as they came and they have now gone 15 league games without a win.

St Johnstone 0 Dundee United 0
Goalkeepers were on top in a McDiarmid Park stalemate.  United's Dusan Pernis made a great reaction save from Murray Davidson early in the second-half and opposite number Peter Enckleman did likewise with great stops from Johnny Russell before the break and David Goodwillie after it.  Saints have won three, drawn three and lost three of their last nine Clydesdale Bank Premier League games, but it's now only two wins in 12 league games for United.
