Aberdeen 1 Motherwell 2
Jamie Murphy grabbed a second-half winner against ten-man Aberdeen to maintain their excellent record at Pitttodrie. Sone Aluko gave Aberdeen the lead after three minutes when he drove in off the post but their lead was short-lived with 'Well debutant Franny Jeffers heading in Stephen Craigan's cross after 14 minutes. Jeffers forced a save from Jamie Langfield before the interval as Motherwell continued to dominate. Aberdeen were reduced to ten men when Paul Hartley was shown a red card early in the second-half for kicking out at Keith Lasley and Motherwell made them pay when Murphy eluded Nikola Vujadinovic and fired in after 71 minutes. Murphy almost added a third but Steven Smith cleared his effort off the line. Motherwell have lost only once on their last six visits to Pittodrie and the result moves them up to fifth in the table.
