Hearts 5 Aberdeen 0
Aberdeenâs new manager Craig Brown looked on as his side slid to the bottom of the Clydesdale Bank Premier League following a comprehensive defeat at Tynecastle. Hearts had won their four previous games 2-0 and they were ahead by that score after eight minutes. First David Templeton took advantage of hesitation in the visitors' defence to score, the youngster then set up Rudi Skacel for a side-foot finish for the second. Stephen Elliott headed in Ruben Palazuelos' cross for the third shortly after the break before Templeton again laid on an assist for Skacel to net the fourth. Lithuanian Arvydas Novikovas then came on as a sub and wrapped up the scoring with a great solo strike. The win moves Hearts three points clear of Inverness Caley Thistle in third place.
Inverness Caledonian Thistle 1 Rangers 1
Rangers missed the chance to go five points clear at the top of the table when Kenny Miller saw a late penalty saved at Inverness. The home side dominated the opening period and Allan McGregor saved well from Adam Rooney before Jonny Hayes blasted the opener into the top corner of the net. Rangers looked more incisive after the break and Miller levelled after 57 minutes with a low drive from Steve Davis' pass. The striker then had a chance to add his 21st goal of the season when Rangers were awarded a penalty for a foul by Stuart Duff on sub James Beattie. Miller's spotkick however was saved by the trailing foot of Esson and the visitors were forced to settle for a point.
St Mirren 1 St Johnstone 2
Liam Craig's last-minute goal earned the Perth side the points on All Saints' Day. After an even first-half, Derek McInnes' side went in front when Dave Mackay's cross was headed in by Sam Parkin. The goal gave the visitors a boost but Michael Higdon won his side a free-kick and curled it around the defensive wall and in for the equaliser. Both sides chased a winner and St Mirren's David van Zanten saw a terrific drive blocked by Peter Enckleman, before St Johnstone snatched the win when sub Collin Samuel's cross was fired in by Craig. St Johnstone move up to eighth in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League thanks to the victory, while Danny Lennon's side stay tenth.
The remaining Clydesdale Bank Premier League fixtures were postponed.
