Celtic 9 Aberdeen 0
Celtic romped to the top of the Clydesdale Bank Premier League with the division's record win. Ironically, Aberdeen had twice come close before Paul Hartley was red-carded for handball after 26 minutes and Anthony Stokes scored from the spot. After that the floodgates opened with a Gary Hooper double and another Stokes spot-kick giving Celtic a 4-0 half-time lead, even though they'd defender Thomas Rogne red-carded for a last-man tackle. Sub Josh Magennis' own-goal made it five before Hooper headed in the sixth. Joe Ledley drilled in the seventh then Stokes grabbed his third with a cool finish before sub Paddy McCourt drilled in another penalty to complete the scoring.
Hamilton Academical 0 Dundee United 1
David Goodwillie was dropped to the bench by Peter Houston - but he came on to grab the points for United. Goodwillie was axed after spending the night in the cells following a bust-up in Glasgow city centre but he came off the bench when Accies looked likely to earn a point. The youngster had been on only eight minutes when he poked home Keith Watson's cross to earn his side victory - the sixth successive game in which he's scored.
Inverness Caledonian Thistle 1 Motherwell 2
Inverness Caledonian Thistle missed the chance to go third as Motherwell clinched the win at the Tulloch Caledonian Stadium. Alan Gow headed Motherwell in front after 33 minutes from Chris Humphrey's cross and Craig Brown's side went in two up when Nick Blackman's shot deflected off Grant Munro over Ryan Esson and into the net. Stuart Duff pulled one back for Caley Thistle with 15 minutes remaining but their late pressure wasnât enough to earn them a point.
St Johnstone 0 Kilmarnock 3
Kilmarnock moved up to seventh with their second successive three-goal away win. Michael Duberry's own goal opened the scoring when he deflected in Ben Gordon's cross to give Kilmarnock the lead just before the interval. The Rugby Park side later emphasised their superiority when Conor Sammon turned Duberry before drilling the ball home. Liam Kelly added the third in the final minute after Alexei Eremenko and Danny Invincibile created the opportunity.
Hibernian 0 Hearts 2 (Sunday)
David Templeton and Stephen Elliott were the Hearts heroes as they moved up to fourth after a comfortable victory in the season's first Capital derby. Hearts were completely in control in the first-half and went in at the interval ahead thanks to Templeton's cool finish following a great solo run. Hibs tried to battle back after the interval but Stephen Elliott, on his first Hearts start, added the second after 66 minutes when he took advantage of hesitation in the Hibs defence to fire in from Kevin Kyle's flick on. Hibs' misery was completed when skipper Derek Riordan was shown a straight red card in the closing minutes following a dangerous tackle on Rudi Skacel.
St Mirren 1 Rangers 3 (Sunday)
Rangers returned to the top of the Clydesdale Bank Premier League thanks to a second-half show in Paisley which leaves Saints at the bottom of the table. After a stale first-half, Marc McAusland turned half-time sub Kyle Lafferty's cross past his own 'keeper and Stevie Naismith put the game beyond Saints when he scored from a Lafferty pass. Kenny Miller added a third when he capitalised on McAusland's error before sub Michael Higdon reduced the leeway for the home side from the penalty-spot after Davis' handball.
