Celtic 1 Rangers 3
Two goals in the first ten minutes of the second-half helped Rangers come from behind to claim Old Firm victory. Glenn Loovens' own goal and a Kenny Miller double earned the champions victory after Gary Hooper's first-half opener. The game settled down after a frenetic start which saw Anthony Stokes and Lee McCulloch booked in the opening four minutes. Steven Whittaker also drove against the base of the post early on but Celtic began to dominate and went in front in first-half injury-time when Whittaker glanced on Ki Sung-Yeung's corner and Hooper collected the ball at the back post before firing in from a narrow angle. But Rangers levelled soon after the re-start when Loovens turned the ball into his net after Kyle Lafferty knocked on Steven Davis' free-kick, and they went ahead when Fraser Forster's poor kick-out was knocked on by Stevie Naismith for Miller to drill the ball in. Miller added a third from a controversial penalty after Dan Majstorovic was judged to have fouled sub Kirk Broadfoot.
Aberdeen 4 Hibernian 2
Colin Calderwood's reign as Hibs manager got off to a disastrous start when his side were thrashed at Pittodrie. Chris Maguire put the home side in front from Sone Aluko's pass and Scott Vernon's shot deflected off Sol Bamba for the second. Vernon claimed the third from Maguire's cross and Aberdeen made it four from the spot after Chris Hogg fouled Aluko. Hibs put a better slant on the scoreline when Colin Nish and Bamba scored with headers but it was a day to forget for the new boss.
Hamilton Academical 1 St Johnstone 2
Danny Grainger's late goal earned Saints their first away win of the season. Sam Parkin headed the Perth side ahead from Liam Craig's cross but Simon Mensing levelled for Accies from the penalty spot after Michael Duberry handled Mark McLaughlin's header. But Grainger won it with four minutes to go when his low free-kick eluded everyone to beat Tomas Cerny.
Hearts 3 St Mirren 0
Saints were left rooted to the bottom of the table after Rudi Skacel's hat-trick. The Czech fired his side ahead inside two minutes from Kevin Kyle's pass and added the second halfway through the first-half from a terrific free-kick. He wrapped up the scoring in the final minute when he collected the ball and drove past Craig Samson from 25 yards.
Kilmarnock 1 Inverness CT 2
Inverness' unbeaten away record continued with a hard-fought win at Rugby Park. Adam Rooney put them ahead from the spot just before the break after Mohamadou Sissoko tripped Russell Duncan and increased their lead when Jonny Hayes robbed Frazer Wright and beat Cammy Bell. Killie pulled one back through sub Rui Miguel's header from Harry Forrester's cross but couldn't find a leveller.
Motherwell 2 Dundee United 1
Motherwell stayed third in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League table thanks to two United own goals. Scott Severin turned the ball into his own net inside 50 seconds after Dusan Pernis' save from Jamie Murphy's shot rebounded off him and went in. United were second-best but levelled when Stephen Craigan needlessly handled and David Goodwillie slotted in the penalty. But the home side deservedly won it fifteen minutes from time when Chris Humphrey's low cross was turned into his own net by Sean Dillon.
