Aberdeen 2 Rangers 3 (Sunday)
Rangers came from two goals down to win a thriller at Pittodrie. Chris Maguire set up Scott Vernon to fire the opener and the home side increased their lead when Darren Mackie's cross was stabbed home by Maguire on the half-hour. Kenny Miller pulled one back from the spot four minutes later following Jerel Ifil's trip on Vladimir Weiss, and Miller levelled when he fired in Steven Davis' cross after the break. Nikica Jelavic, who'd previously struck the post, had a simple finish for the winner from Stevie Naismith's cut-back to pull off a brilliant comeback for the Gers. Aberdeenâs misery was complete when Maguire was sent off late on for a second yellow card. Rangers hadn't won on their previous six visits to Pittodrie but this victory returned them to the top of the Clydesdale Bank Premier League.
Celtic 2 Hibernian 1
Former Hibs midfielder Scott Brown chose the visit of his former club to score a rare goal which set Celtic on their way to victory. Brown played a one-two with another ex-Hibs player, Anthony Stokes, before driving home to give Celtic a fifth-minute lead. Glenn Loovens doubled their advantage when he headed in Shaun Maloney's corner early in the second-half. Hibs pulled one back 5 minutes later however when Derek Riordan skilfully chipped Fraser Forster. Despite some strong Hibernian pressure it was Celtic who came closest to adding to the scoreline when Efrain Juarez headed against the bar.
Dundee United 1 St Johnstone 0
David Goodwillie's untidy goal won the Tayside derby - but ref Brian Winter grabbed the headlines for the wrong reasons. Goodwillie got Unitedâs goal in the 61st minute as he bundled the ball into the net after Garry Kenneth's shot was deflected into his path. Referee Brian Winter seemed to blunder when he showed Saints defender Steven Anderson a second yellow card - but not a red - after a foul on the goalscorer, following his earlier booking for facing up to Goodwillie. Saints closest effort came when Sam Parkin headed over from Danny Grainger's cross.
Hamilton Academical 2 Kilmarnock 2
Accies raced into a two-goal lead - but were left furious after being pegged back by two Killie goals in the last eight minutes. Flavio Paixao headed the home side in front early on from Jim Goodwin's cross. Hamilton then doubled their advantage following a wonder solo effort from Nigel Hasselbaink. Hamilton were then denied what looked a penalty when Goodwin was barged in the box. Killie were however awarded a penalty when Simon Mensing fouled Danny Invincibile. Jamie Hamill's initial spotkick was saved by Tomas Cerny but ref Crawford Allan ordered a re-take for encroachment and Hamill made no mistake second time round. Accies were left with only one point to show for their efforts when Conor Sammon headed the equaliser a minute from time.
Hearts 0 Motherwell 2
Motherwell maintained their great recent record against Hearts and moved up to third in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League with a well-deserved victory. Winger Chris Humphrey was almost given the day off after helping deliver baby daughter Amelia on Friday but he was the provider as two second-half goals sunk Hearts. Jamie Murphy had already hit the post during the first-half before Humphrey's run and cross provided the opener, which Nick Blackman clipped home. John Sutton added a second from another Humphrey cross to seal a deserved win for Craig Brown's team - their fourth in the last five SPL meetings of the sides.
St Mirren 1 Inverness Caledonian Thistle 2
Inverness maintained their terrific away record with a well-deserved win at St Mirren Park. Nick Ross had already hit the post before Eric Odhiambo took Ross's pass and calmly beat Paul Gallagher on the stroke of half-time. Odhiambo added a second early in the second-half for Caley Thistle after Jonny Hayes worked an opening. Loan frontman Paul McGowan pulled one back with a 20-yard volley for the Saints, but Inverness CT, who haven't lost away from home in the league since last November, held on for victory to leave the Saints at the foot of the table.
