St Johnstone won the battle of the Saints to record their first win of the season. Andy Jackson put the home side in front early on but he was later stretchered off with a head injury after a clash with St Mirren 'keeper Paul Gallacher. Sam Parkin headed the second after 33 minutes from new signing Jeno Myrie-Williams' cross but St Mirren pulled one back four minutes later when Sean Lynch's 30-yard drive took a deflection on the way past Peter Enckleman. However St Mirren couldn't level the game and Derek McInnes' side held on for victory.
Inverness Caledonian Thistle 1 Hearts 3
Hearts came from behind to win comfortably at Inverness. Eric Odhiambo put the home side in front with a scrappy effort but Hearts levelled just before the break when Inverness defender Chris Innes turned in David Templeton's inswinging free-kick. Hearts sub Kevin Kyle headed down for Ryan Stevenson to put Hearts ahead then Suso Santana set Calum Elliot up for his fourth goal of the season to clinch victory.
Hibernian 1 Hamilton Academical 1
Accies grabbed an Easter Road point - but still slipped to the bottom of the Clydesdale Bank Premier League table. It was a day of conflicting emotions for Marco Paixao as his slack pass was seized upon by Derek Riordan who fired home at the second attempt to give Hibs the lead. Paixao - the day before his 25th birthday â made up for his earlier mistake when he levelled after neat work from Nigel Hasselbaink allowed him to drive the ball past Mark Brown. Hibs sent new Lithuanian signing Valdas Trakys on as a late sub but were unable to record their first home win of the season.
Motherwell 1 Aberdeen 1
It was honours even in a well-contested game at Fir Park. Jamie Murphy put 'Well ahead ten minutes before the break when he received Nick Blackman's pass and cut inside Jerel Ifil before firing home. Scott Vernon made up for earlier misses when he turned in Chris Maguire's cross ten minutes after the break. Motherwell came close to winning when Steve Jennings headed sub Alan Gow's cross over in the final minute.
Rangers 4 Dundee United 0
Rangers maintained their 100% record to surge back to the top of the Clydesdale Bank Premier League. Rangers got the perfect start when Sean Dillon turned Steve Davis' cross into his own net. Kenny Miller slotted in the second when he turned in Nikica Jelavic's shot early in the second-half and sub Stevie Naismith nodded the third from David Weir's cross. Miller added a late fourth - his eighth Gers goal of the season - from another Jelavic pass.
Kilmarnock 1 Celtic 2 (Sunday)
Celtic came from behind to stay level with Rangers at the top of the table. Conor Sammon put Killie in front after seven minutes following excellent build up play by Alexei Eremenko. Celtic levelled from the spot just before the break when Frazer Wright fouled Anthony Stokes and Daryl Murphy netted the resulting penalty. Stokes won it for Celtic shortly after the break when he converted from close range after a good run by Emilio Izaguirre.
