Hibernian 0 – 1 Rangers (Sun)
Rangers clinched their 53rd league title thanks to Kyle Lafferty's first-half goal.  The Irishman struck after 17 minutes, driving Kenny Miller's pass past Graeme Smith and although Hibs had a second-half penalty claim waved aside by Willie Collum after Derek Riordan went down under Steven Whittaker's challenge, they couldn't get level and so stay a point behind Motherwell in fifth place.  But the day belonged to Rangers as they retained their Clydesdale Bank Premier League title.

Falkirk 0 – 1 Hamilton
Falkirk manager Steven Pressley insisted his side will beat the drop despite losing at home to on-form Accies.  Bairns stay bottom but Pressley is adamant they have what it takes to stay up. However they looked off the pace in the first-half and Accies deserved their lead which came via a Marco Paixao header from Dougie Imrie's cross.  Falkirk looked better after the break but couldn't rescue a point.

Hearts 0 – 2 Motherwell
Jim Jefferies had no complaints as Motherwell were well worth their Tynecastle win.  Steven Saunders bundled in his first career goal and the opener for Craig Brown's side after his initial header from Stevie Hammell's cross had been blocked.   And the toiling Jambos fell further behind a couple of minutes later when Tom Hateley's free-kick, which seemed to take a final touch off Marius Zaliukas under pressure from John Sutton, found the net.  'Well were denied a third goal after the break when Jim O'Brien's strike was ruled out for handball.

St Johnstone 1 – 1 Aberdeen
Saints rescued a point in the mid-table clash thanks to a last-minute own goal.  Aberdeen went ahead when Davide Grassi's header from Paul Marshall's corner was touched on to the bar by home 'keeper Graeme Smith before being headed back by Darren Mackie to Steven MacLean, who flicked in.  Saints pushed hard after the break and they levelled in the last minute when Andy Jackson's shot from Liam Craig's free-kick rebounded from the post on to 'keeper Stuart Nelson's arm and over the line.

St Mirren 1 – 0 Kilmarnock
Andy Dorman's late goal eased St Mirren's relegation fears – but plunged Kilmarnock deeper into the Clydesdale Bank Premier League mire.  Dorman pounced when Michael Higdon's effort spun off the crossbar and the Welshman scored from close range.  Kilmarnock had been out of luck earlier when Scott Severin's volley rebounded off the post with Paul Gallacher stranded and the home 'keeper made a great injury-time block to deny Kevin Kyle.  Jimmy Calderwood's side have scored just four goals in 18 away games this season and face a tough run-in.

Dundee United 0 – 2 Celtic (Sun)
Celtic's win wasn't enough to keep the title race alive – but they did clinch second place in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League.  Diomansy Kamara cut inside and scored with a crisp left-foot drive after half-an-hour and United's chances evaporated when Jennison Myrie-Williams was shown two yellow cards to reduce them to ten men.  United conceded an injury-time penalty when 'keeper Dusan Pernis brought down Aiden McGeady and Robbie Keane drove in from the spot.  Celtic's injury problems continued despite the victory, though, with both central defenders Thomas Rogne and Glenn Loovens needing to be replaced.
