Motherwell 0 â 1 Falkirk
Ryan Flynn's first-half goal helped close the gap between Falkirk and the rest of the relegation strugglers at the bottom of the Clydesdale Bank Premier League. The midfielder had an easy job to score when Pedro Moutinho's backheel set him up â and it was no more than Steven Pressley's side deserved against a misfiring home side. Motherwell weren't helped by injuries to goalkeeper John Ruddy, who had to be replaced at half-time with a thigh injury, and midfielder Keith Lasley, who limped off early in the second-half. Falkirk could have added a second in injury-time but Scott Arfield blasted over the bar.
Rangers 1 â 0 Hamilton
Rangers stayed clear at the top â but needed an assistant ref's error to avoid dropping home points to Hamilton. Maurice Edu slotted the home side in front from Kenny Miller's pass early in the game but Rangers struggled against an imaginative and smooth-passing Accies side.Billy Reid's team seemed to have got the goal their play merited twelve minutes from time when James McArthur ran from deep to bundle in Alex Neil's cross â but assistant ref Steven Craven flagged for offside against Accies' sub Joel Thomas and Rangers took the three points.
St. Mirren 1 â 1 Hearts
St Mirren stayed mired in the relegation struggle after their ninth home draw of the season. They're just three points ahead of Falkirk at the bottom of the table after failing to take advantage of on-loan Graham Carey's first-half goal. The defender fired in an unstoppable free-kick just before the break after Marius Zaliukas' foul on Michael Higdon. But Zaliukas levelled for Hearts just after the re-start when he bulleted in Suso Santana's cross. The Jambos' point means if St Johnstone win against Dundee United on Monday night the Perth team will replace Hearts in the top six on goal difference.
Hibernian 0 â 1 Celtic
Robbie Keane was again Celtic's main man with the only goal of an untidy game at Easter Road. Hibs had lively moments in the first-half but Celtic upped their game after the break as Darren O'Dea's header was cleared off the home side's goal line. Celtic won it when Keane converted a penalty awarded after Anthony Stokes brought down Aiden McGeady with a high challenge early in the second-half. The closing stages were scrappy, eight yellow cards testimony to a competitive game played on a poor-quality pitch.
Kilmarnock 2 â 0 Aberdeen
Jimmy Calderwood's side leapt ahead of St Mirren at the foot of the table after a deserved win over disappointing Dons. Sone Aluko forced a great early save from Cammy Bell but Killie took the lead when Dons defender Davide Grassi diverted Scott Severin's drive into his own net after 24 minutes. And home frontman Allan Russell sealed the win when he got between Grassi and Charlie Mulgrew to head past Jamie Langfield. Sub Darren Mackie forced a great save from Bell and Aberdeen had Langfield to thank for an injury-time stop from Conor Sammon to prevent Killie extending their lead.
