St Mirren 4 â 0 Celtic
Saints stunned sad Celtic with a four-goal salvo to blast away their League Cup final blues. Andy Dorman scored the opener seven minutes before the break after good build-up work by Billy Mehmet and Steven Thomson added the second after a one-two between Mehmet and Craig Dargo. Celtic went all-out for a way back into the game but left gaps and Saints added a third when Dorman blasted home with six minutes left before Thomson completed the scoring from Michael Higdon's pass. It was Saints' first-ever SPL win over Celtic and opens up a five-point gap ahead of Falkirk but Celtic are now ten points adrift of Rangers having played two games more and any lingering hopes of the title are now surely gone.
Kilmarnock 1 â 2 Hamilton
Accies moved eight points clear of bottom spot with a terrific Rugby Park victory. Mickael Antoine-Curier put them ahead after 21 minutes from James Wesolowski's cross and Simon Mensing increased their lead with a header from Dougie Imrie's cross. The home side, who are now only four points ahead of basement outfit Falkirk, pulled one back through loan striker Chris Maguire with 13 minutes left but couldn't snatch a point as Accies extended their unbeaten run to five games.
