Falkirk 1 â 2 St Johnstone
Saints came from behind to banish any lingering relegation worries â but Falkirk are now four points adrift at the bottom of the table. Marc Twaddle put Falkirk in front after 27 minutes when he bundled home Pedro Moutinho's free-kick. But Liam Craig's spot-kick on the stroke of half-time conceded by a Brian McLean handball got Saints level and Kenny Deuchar won it for Derek McInnes' side when he pounced on an error by Tam Scobbie with six minutes left.
Hamilton 1 â 0 St Mirren
Flavio Paixao's injury-time goal saw Accies open up a six-point gap between them and bottom club Falkirk â and plunge League Cup finalists St Mirren deep into the relegation mire. Mickael Antoine-Curier and Dougie Imrie both hit woodwork for the home side in the first-half while Graham Carey's free-kick hit the underside of the bar after the break. A bad-tempered game which featured ten yellow cards looked set to end in stalemate until Brian Easton's cross was headed home by Paixao for a priceless home win for Hamilton.
Motherwell 3 â 1 Hearts
A three-goal blitz saw 'Well maintain their form â but David Templeton's strike denied them a move into third place in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League. Mark Reynolds headed the home side ahead in the second minute and John Sutton added a second from Keith Lasley's pass eleven minutes later. Lukas Jutkiewicz had a goal disallowed before Jim O'Brien fired in Jamie Murphy's cross to make it 3-0 but Templeton's strike from Suso Santana's pass a minute later reduced the leeway. 'Well have now gone twelve league games unbeaten and are level on points with Dundee United, who stay ahead of them thanks to having scored more goals.
