Kilmarnock 4 â 4 Dundee United
Killie came from 3-1 down to lead but were left frustrated by Jon Daly's late penalty. United went ahead through Prince Buaben's neat finish but Simon Ford levelled before Craig Conway's volley restored United's advantage. Conway extended the lead to 3-1 but Kevin Kyle reduced the deficit with a header and Manuel Pascali levelled for Kilmarnock with another header. Craig Bryson volleyed Killie ahead but when Ford fouled Conway Jon Daly's penalty earned United a point from the Rugby Park thriller.
Aberdeen 0 â 3 Motherwell
Craig Brown's side jumped to fifth in the table with a comprehensive victory at Pittodrie. 'Well went ahead after 29 minutes when John Sutton forced the ball in after Jamie Langfield had saved Jim O'Brien's drive. Two goals in the first eight minutes after the break settled the game â first Lukas Jutkiewicz headed in Sutton's cross, then Sutton added a third after Langfield saved Stephen Craigan's header.
Hamilton 0 â 1 Celtic
Celts needed a late strike from new signing Morten Rasmussen to maintain their ten-point deficit in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League. Although loan signing Brian Easton saw an early in swinging corner cleared off the line by Andy Hinkel, Tony Mowbray's side had enjoyed the bulk of the pressure against stuffy Accies until the Dane struck within four minutes of coming on as a sub for Georgios Samaras. Fortune missed a chance to increase Celts' lead when his injury-time penalty was saved by Tomas Cerny.
Hibernian 2 â 1 St Mirren
Hibs opened a three-point gap between them and Dundee United as a result of Jack Ross' last-minute own goal. The Leith side started slowly and went behind when Sol Bamba diverted Steven Robb's cross into his own net, but they levelled when Colin Nish set Liam Miller up before the break. Saints looked set for a point until Ross headed Ian Murray's cross into his own net in the third minute of stoppage time.
Rangers 3 â 0 Falkirk
It was a comfortable Steven Davis-inspired win for the champions against the bottom side in the division. The Northern Irishman curled in an 18th minute free-kick to give his side the lead then his run set up John Fleck for the second. Steven Whittaker added the third after a good run and shot following Davis' pass.
St Johnstone 1 â 0 Hearts
There was no happy start for Jim Jefferies as Hearts boss as they went down to Kenny Deuchar's first SPL goal of the season. The former Gretna striker headed home Filipe Morais' cross six minutes after the interval and that was enough to seal the points for eighth-placed Saints. Steven Milne twice came close for them and sub Cillian Sheridan hit the post. Hearts sub Gordon Smith saw a late effort blocked by Gary Irvine as Hearts pushed for a point.
