Only two games survived the weather this midweek.
Rangers 7-1 Dundee United
Kris Boyd obliterated Henrik Larsson's SPL goals record with a five-star display against United. Boyd's five strikes took him past Larsson to 160 goals in the top-flight. He smashed in the opener from the penalty spot after 20 minutes after Darren Dods' foul on Kenny Miller, then added a second from Steven Davis' pass five minutes later.Miller set him up for the third to send Rangers in three up at the break but Damian Casalinuovo pulled one back from Paul Dixon's pass before Miller was sent off following a tangle with Dods. Sub Steven Whittaker seized on Sean Dillon's error to make it 4-1 and Boyd scrambled in his fourth then lashed home his fifth before departing to a standing ovation.Madjid Bougherra completed the scoring with a solo effort with five minutes left but Miller's red card means he will miss Sunday's Old Firm game.
Hearts 1-0 Motherwell
Hearts skipper Michael Stewart claimed his seventh goal of the season to edge the home side to their third win in a row. But it was rough on Motherwell under interim manager Craig Brown, who dominated much of the game. 'Well had already come close through Jim O'Brien and Jamie Murphy when Christian Nade, an early sub for injured Jamie Mole, set up Stewart four minutes before the break. The visitors continued to look impressive after the interval but couldn't get back on terms. Stephen Craigan headed Ross Forbes' corner wide and home 'keeper Marian Kello saved well from Forbes to make it five consecutive defeats for Motherwell.
