Hamilton Academical 2 â 1 Hearts
The S.F.A. are set to probe an amazing tunnel bust-up after a stormy New Douglas Park clash which saw four Hearts players shown red cards.
James McArthur and Simon Mensing gave Accies a first-half lead before Eggert Jonsson pulled one back from David Obua's pass.
But second-half red cards for skipper Michael Stewart and defender Ismail Bouzid ended Hearts' hopes of a point.
Then furious scenes in the tunnel saw further red cards shown to Hearts' duo Suso Santana and Ian Black as well as the home side's Leon Knight.
Celtic 3 - 0 Aberdeen
Celtic stayed two points clear at the top of the Clydesdale Bank Premier League with a comfortable win over ten-man Aberdeen.
Scott McDonald broke the deadlock six minutes before the interval from Andreas Hinkel's cross, and Georgios Samaras added a second-half double, both from Aiden McGeady passes.
Aberdeen played the final 33 minutes with ten men when Jerel Ifil was shown a straight red card for kicking out at Samaras.
Dundee United 3 - 2 St Mirren
Dundee United were once again reduced to ten men - but still emerged with three points.
They went into the game without Prince Buaben and Danny Swanson after their red cards at Motherwell last week - and Senegalese international Morgaro Gomis was shown their sixth red card of the season for slapping Steven Thomson yesterday.
United looked comfortable when Damian Casalinuovo and Craig Conway put them ahead before the break but Darren Dods' own goal and Gomis' red card put the pressure on.
Jennison Myrie-Williams restored their two-goal cushion but Stephen O'Donnell's late drive sparked a frantic final few minutes.
Falkirk 1 - 3 Rangers
Kris Boyd moved within seven goals of Henrik Larsson's SPL record with a double at The Falkirk Stadium.
His first-half double took his total to 151 before Pedro Moutinho pulled one back for Falkirk.
But the home side's hopes of a repeat Old Firm point were dashed when Kenny Miller scored from a controversial penalty after DaMarcus Beasley was fouled by Darren Barr.
By then Boyd had been substituted with a thigh injury which makes him doubtful for Wednesday's Champions League game against Seville. The result means Falkirk slip four points adrift at the bottom of the table.
Hibernian 2 â 0 Motherwell
Hibs made it ten games unbeaten with a comfortable win in what had looked a testing game against Motherwell.
Anthony Stokes fired his side ahead from Derek Riordan's pass and Hibs added a second soon after the break when Stokes' drive beat John Ruddy via a deflection.
Motherwell were disappointing and Hibs could have added more goals in the final half-hour.
St Johnstone 0 - 1 Kilmarnock
Kevin Kyle got back on the goal trail and it was enough to earn Killie the points.
Kyle had failed to score in four games but combined with Mark Burchill early on to put his side in front.
Saints piled on the second-half pressure but the closest they came was Kevin Rutkiewicz' header wide.
