Falkirk 3 â 3 Celtic
Celtic stayed top of the Clydesdale Bank Premier League after a second-half thriller against the leagueâs bottom side.
Aiden McGeady saw a first-half penalty saved by Robert Olejnik before Gary Caldwell headed Celtic ahead soon after the break. Scott Arfield levelled from the spot and Pedro Moutinho volleyed the home side in front only to see sub Scott McDonald head Celtic level then tap in a third from a Georgios Samarasâ cross. Falkirk werenât finished there however as sub Mark Stewart fired home from an acute angle seven minutes from time to earn Eddie Mayâs side a deserved point.
Aberdeen 2 â 1 St Johnstone
Saints were left fuming after Lee Millerâs controversial late penalty won the points for Aberdeen.
The home side went in front when Sone Aluko finished coolly to beat Graeme Smith but Liam Craig seemed to have earned St Johnstone a point when he scored after home âkeeper Jamie Langfield dropped a cross under pressure from Kenny Deuchar. But Miller drove in a spot-kick winner after the referee judged the striker had been fouled by Danny Grainger.
Hamilton 2 â 2 Motherwell
The Lanarkshire derby lived up to its billing at New Douglas Park as Accies, despite going down to ten men, went ahead twice only for the game to end level.
Guillaume Beuzelin saw red for two bookable offences just after the half-hour but Acciesâ âkeeper Tomas Cerny saved Ross Forbesâ penalty just before the break. Accies took advantage when Simon Mensing headed the opener but Jamie Murphyâs long-range drive levelled for âWell. Marco Paixao headed the home side back in front but Clydesdale Bank Young Player of the Month Lukas Jutkiewicz slotted home a second equaliser for Jim Gannonâs side.
Hearts 0 â 0 Hibernian
It was honours even in a drab Edinburgh derby at Tynecastle.
Hearts had most of the pressure and lots of corners but Hibs came closest to breaking the deadlock when defender David Wotherspoonâs drive deflected off Colin Nish, requiring Hearts âkeeper Janos Balogh to display great reactions and touch it on to the post. Most of Heartsâ efforts came from long balls which were well handled by the visitorsâ defence.
Kilmarnock 0 â 2 Dundee United
United moved up to fourth place with a deserved win over Killie at Rugby Park.
Damian Casalinuovo slotted home the opener from the penalty spot after Garry Hay fouled Jennison Myrie-Williams, and the Argentine frontman added the second when Myrie-Williamsâ cutback gave him an easy finish. It was a frustrating day for the home side, whose best chance came when Scotland hopeful Kevin Kyle blasted over from 12 yards.
Rangers 2 â 1 St. Mirren
Rangers got off to a bright start â but were still made to sweat out the closing minutes against a battling Saints side.
Kris Boyd smashed home with only 18 seconds gone after Paul Gallacher could only parry a John Fleck drive and the striker seemed to have wrapped it up early in the second-half from Nacho Novoâs cross-come-shot. But Saints â whoâd forced two good first-half saves from Allan McGregor â reduced the leeway when sub Stephen OâDonnell volleyed in and Rangers were glad to hear ref Iain Brinesâ final whistle.
