Dundee United v Rangers (match abandoned)
Both sides had served up a decent spectacle in terrible conditions but referee Mike Tumilty had little option but to abandon the game at the interval.
United hit the bar twice before Rangers went in front when Steve Davis side-footed Sasa Papac's crossball into the net after 29 minutes but the relentless downpour meant puddles were beginning to remain on the surface.
With little prospect of the rain abating, ref Tumilty called the game off after a half-time inspection and the game will now be re-scheduled.
Celtic 3 â 0 Kilmarnock
Aiden McGeady scored a beauty as Celtic overcame Kilmarnock to remain top of the Clydesdale Bank Premier League.
McGeady skipped round two Killie defenders before cracking the ball in off Cammy Bell's right hand post to open the scoring. Georgios Samaras headed in the second from Andy Hinkel's cross before sub Niall McGinn smacked in a third to seal the victory for the home side.
The visitorsâ best efforts came via a series of headers from skipper Kevin Kyle â the best of them coming shortly before the interval when he headed just over Lukasz Zaluska's bar.
Hibernian 2 â 0 Aberdeen
Two late goals against an Aberdeen side that finished with nine men moved Hibs into second place in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League.
Maurice Ross â in only his second match for the Dons â was sent off for a second yellow card, and then Chris Maguire, who'd already been booked, was shown a straight red for a tackle on Kevin McBride.
Hibs' numerical superiority paid off two minutes from time when sub Colin Nish headed in Kurtis Byrne's cross, then, in injury-time, Liam Miller's drive took a deflection off Charlie Mulgrew and beat Jamie Langfield.
Motherwell 1 â 0 Hearts
Ross Forbes fired in a stunning volley to move Motherwell into fourth spot in the table. The midfielder met Yassin Moutaouakil's 55th-minute cross perfectly to fire under Janos Balogh and grab his ninth goal of the season in what was a deserved victory for Jim Gannon's side.
In a forgettable afternoon for Hearts, striker Christian Nade was stretchered off after a Forbes' tackle and Eggert Jonsson was red-carded for a last-man tackle on Jim O'Brien.
St. Johnstone 3 â 1 Falkirk
Falkirk remain rooted to the bottom of the table after conceding poor goals against smooth-passing Saints.
Derek McInnes' side deserved their first home win and got off to an ideal start when Collin Samuel found room in the area to turn in Dave Mackay's cross. Carl Finnigan levelled for Falkirk shortly after the break but half-time sub Chris Millar fired the home side back in front. The points were sealed when Bairns' 'keeper Robert Olejnik flapped at Liam Craig's cross and Murray Davidson reacted quickest to nod the ball home.
St. Mirren 0 â 2 Hamilton
Accies grabbed their first away win of the season thanks to two first-half strikes.
Marco Paixao took advantage of slack defending to turn home James Wesolowski's drive after three minutes, then Martin Canning bundled Paixao's cross in from close range before the interval.
Saints failed to repeat their impressive midweek league cup performance and their misery was completed when Lee Mair was sent off for a last-man challenge on Mickael Antoine-Curier.
