Hamilton 1 â 2 Celtic
Celtic returned to the top of the Clydesdale Bank Premier League with a Sunday win at Accies â but they had to endure a late sweat.
Shaun Maloney fired Celtic ahead with a clever scissors-kick after 15 minutes and the visitors looked in easy street when Scott McDonald doubled their lead 14 minutes later after good work by Georgios Samaras. But Mickael Antoine-Curier flicked James McArthur's effort home with seven minutes left and battling Accies almost forced a draw when Lukasz Zaluska â in for the injured Artur Boruc â saved from McCarthur late on.
Aberdeen 0 â 2 Dundee United
Craig Levein maintained his excellent record in north-east derbies â he's now lost just twice in 12 meetings since taking over at Tannadice.
Two first-half goals were enough to win it for his side. First Damien Casalinuovo headed on Mark Fotheringham's corner and the ball crossed the line despite Richard Foster's efforts to keep it out. Then five minutes later Morgaro Gomis drove in Garry Kenneth's cross to secure the points. Aberdeen tried to rally with the wind at their backs after the break but in the end United ran out comfortable winners.
Hearts 0 â 0 Falkirk
Hearts were booed off after a disappointing display against the Clydesdale Bank Premier League's bottom club.
Although David Obua headed a good chance over early on it was only in the later stages that Hearts seriously threatened. Sub David Witteveen forced Robert Olejnik into a blocking save but the Falkirk 'keeper's top stop was from his own defender Brian McLean and the visitors hung on for a precious point.
Kilmarnock 2 â 1 St Johnstone
Saints dominated the first-half but two goalkeeping errors cost them the points at Rugby Park.
Kevin Kyle outjumped Alan Main to head the opener then the 'keeper's miskick fell to Craig Bryson who teed up Kyle to volley the second into the unguarded net. Frazer Wright headed into his own net to give Saints' a late goal but Killie hung on for their first home win since the opening day of the season.
Rangers 1 â 1 Hibernian
Rangers again failed to capitalise on an early goal â and dropped two more points in the process.
Kris Boyd smashed home Kyle Lafferty's knock-down early on but Hibs were eye-catching and thoroughly merited their equaliser which came just after the hour when Anthony Stokes flicked the ball home after Merouane Zemmama's long ball.
St. Mirren 3 â 3 Motherwell
Saints moved into the top six â but could have done better after losing two late goals to battling 'Well.
Saints went in front just before the break when Hugh Murray converted Tom Brighton's cross but 'Well levelled from a controversial Ross Forbes penalty before Saints roared ahead through Andy Dorman's cool finish and Murray's great volley. There was plenty of drama left however as 'Well pegged the hosts back again courtesy of a Lukas Jutkiewicz double inside seven minutes to rescue a point.
