St. Johnstone 1 – 2 Rangers
Rangers came from behind to return to the top of the table – but all the focus on the match was on a man who didn't make it to McDiarmid Park.

Collin Samuel put Saints ahead with a crisp finish but Kris Boyd slid home the equaliser before the interval.  Rangers looked to be struggling to impose themselves but Sasa Papac popped up late on to take Steven Naismith's knock-down and clip a fine drive inside the post for the winner.

Aberdeen 1 – 1 Heart of Midlothian
Scotland striker Lee Miller got his first goal of the season for the Dons - but it wasn't enough to see off Hearts.

Miller, who played against Japan in Yokohama last week, headed home just before the interval from Michael Paton's cross.  But after the break man-of-the-moment Andy Driver levelled for Hearts with a fine left-foot effort after being set up by sub Christian Nade.  And Hearts could have snatched victory but David Obua headed wide from Driver's cross.

Celtic 0 – 0 Motherwell
Celtic slipped off the top of the table after a tame home draw against Motherwell, who remain undefeated away from home in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League.

Celtic struggled to break down Jim Gannon's well-organised side although Niall McGinn went close with a header at the end of the first-half and Scott McDonald headed sub Shaun Maloney's flick over the bar in injury-time.  It could have been worse for Tony Mowbray’s side however as Motherwell had a great chance to score when defender Steven Saunders headed Ross Forbes' corner over the bar.

Dundee United 1 – 1 Hamilton
United needed goal in the third minute of stoppage time to rescue a point against Accies.

The visitors went in front when striker Mickael Antoine-Curier – on loan from United's city rivals Dundee – ran on to score with the home defence appealing for offside.  But as United piled on the pressure, they finally got the breakthrough when Garry Kenneth bulleted home Damian Casalinuovo's cross to grab a share of the points.

Falkirk 1 – 3 St Mirren
Saints' second-half blitz saw them come from behind to beat struggling Bairns.

Sub Alex MacDonald put Falkirk ahead just after the break but Craig Dargo levelled from Andy Dorman's cross.  Then Dargo found Dorman, and although Robert Olejnik saved his effort, Billy Mehmet followed up to score. Sub Tom Brighton wrapped up the scoring with two minutes left to pile the pressure on Bairns' Eddie May.

Hibernian 1 – 0 Kilmarnock
A controversial late penalty won it for Hibs but left Killie boss Jim Jefferies fuming.

Abdessalam Benjelloun went down easily under a Gavin Skelton challenge seven minutes from time but ref Craig Thomson pointed to the spot and Benji drove home the spot-kick.  Hibs had enjoyed the better of the second-half but Killie looked good before the interval and came close when Connor Sammon fired against the post.
