Celtic - Clydesdale Bank supports Celtic FC’s Girls Academy

Celtic midfielder Barry Robson joined Celtic Girls Academy starlets Katlin McGillvray. Megan Cunningham and Lauren Pilkington at Celtic Park last week to accept a cheque for £5,000 from SPL sponsor Clydesdale Bank in support of the Celtic Girls Academy.

Open to girls up to the age of 16, across four distinct age groups (U11s, U13s, U15s & U17s), the Celtic Girl’s Academy offers girls access to high quality football coaching sessions which promote healthy lifestyle management, the importance of fitness, and above all, the enjoyment of sport.

Stressing the importance of Clydesdale Bank’s sponsorship to the success of the Academy, Celtic Ladies 1st Team Manager/Head of Celtic Girls Academy Robert Docherty said:
“The support from Clydesdale Bank is fantastic.  Without a doubt this partnership will help us to maintain and develop the strong commitment we have to our Players and Staff within the Celtic Girls Academy which is crucial in our drive for excellence!”
