Aberdeen - Clydesdale Bank supports Aberdeen FC’s Mini Kickers programme

In the week that SPL sponsor Clydesdale Bank announced its continued support for the highly popular initiative, Aberdeen ‘keeper Jamie Langfield dropped in to the Jesmond Sports Centre to meet the latest kids to benefit from the club’s highly successful ‘Mini Kickers’ programme.

Forming part of Aberdeen FC’s ‘Dons in the Community’ programme, Mini Kickers offers children aged 3-5 years what is often their first chance to kick a football in a group environment. With a primary focus on motor skill development, SFA accredited coaches deliver coaching sessions which encourage children to develop their cognitive and social skills through a series of fun activities.

Stressing the importance of Clydesdale Bank’s sponsorship to the success of the project, Dons in the Community Head Coach, Jim Crawford said:
“We would like to thank Clydesdale Bank for continuing to sponsor AFC’s Mini Kicker’s. Their support has allowed us to upgrade the specialist equipment we use which makes the sessions so enjoyable for the youngest members of our footballing programme. We have also been able to add two more centres to the project meaning there are now even more opportunities for families to take advantage of what is an extremely fun and beneficial activity for younger children.”
