Celtic - Youth and Women's Academy

Celtic - Youth and Women's Academy

The Celtic Youth and Women's Academy aims to provide a structured coaching and development programme for youths and women, contributing to the health and wellbeing of those involved.

The programme complements programmes delivered by Glasgow City Council Education Services and the National Governing Body in relation to the development of the girls and women's game.

Our funding has supported the introduction of an after school programme aimed at primary school girls in Glasgow. The coaching and educational programme will provide additional playing opportunities for primary school children and also underpin the Celtic Youth Academy.

The introduction of the afterschool coaching programme in 4 areas of the city (North, South, East and West) provides both Clydesdale Bank and the Celtic Foundation with a real opportunity to make a significant and positive difference to girl's football in Glasgow.   Over 100 girls are expected to take part in the programme.
