Club community activity 2008
Motherwell - Mini Steelmen
Our funding of Motherwell's Mini Steelkids project has helped enhance this programme which runs throughout Lanarkshire.
The principle of Mini Steelkids is to develop a child's basic motor skills with the child's state of physical, psychological and social development in mind. The aim is to give children a good physical and social foundation to start both football and general sports skill training.
These sessions offer young children the opportunity to develop basic motor skills such as running, jumping, crawling, rolling, rotating, throwing, catching, kicking and dribbling. In addition the coaching is focused on creating a child who is motivated, confident and has a positive attitude towards football and physical activity. All great things to be teaching kids at an early age.
