St. Mirren - Clydesdale Bank supports Summer Football Camps

St. Mirren - Clydesdale Bank supports Summer Football Camps

Clydesdale Bank have provided £5000 of funding towards the summer football camps run by St Mirren in the Community.

The club delivered football coaching to boys and girls aged four to 12 years old at a number of different venues throughout Renfrewshire, over a four week period, with around 500 kids taking part.

Our funding helped provide each child with a football, mini cones set, and a skills card, allowing the children to continue to develop their new found skills at home.

St Mirren Community Coach Gary Hocknull said:
“Our summer coaching sessions are great fun for the kids, teaching them some new skills and making them exercise, but the challenge is to keep the kids interested and active when they leave.  The funding from Clydesdale Bank is great, as it means we can give the kids something to take home to hopefully keep them playing football.”

Irene Swankie, Clydesdale Bank Community Affairs Manager commented:
“This is Clydesdale Bank’s fourth year as SPL sponsor and over that time we have witnessed the range of excellent work that each club does to make a positive impact in its local community.  As a business we too aim to develop strong relationships that support local communities, so we are delighted to be able to help St Mirren by providing some additional funding to their Summer Football Camps programme.”
