Clydesdale Bank Community

Community Awards

Inaugural Clydesdale Bank Community Award winner announced

Natalie Durrant has been announced as the first ever winner of the Clydesdale Bank Community Award. Natalie, a 19 year old Rangers fan from Renfrew, was nominated for the award by her Dad who is extremely proud of the impact her daughter is having on kids football throughout Renfrewshire.

Natalie has been coaching football at local schools throughout Renfrewshire for six years, often selflessly giving up numerous nights a week to make sure kids throughout Renfrewshire get every opportunity to enjoy the beautiful game. It's difficult to put a number on the amount of kids Natalie has coached and it's even harder to quantify the positive influences she's had on all their lives.

No stranger to winning awards, Natalie is one of the youngest winners of the Renfrew Community Coach of the Year, a prize she picked up two years ago.

Natalie is currently studying for an HND in Sports Coaching at Cardonald College as she looks to build on her already impressive coaching credentials!

Rangers manager Walter Smith was on hand to present Natalie with her award as was her uncle Ian Durrant and the Clydesdale Bank will also £100 towards the community schemes with which Natalie is involved.

Congratulations Natalie on being a worthy winner of Augusts' Clydesdale Bank Community Award. Do you know someone like Natalie who makes a real contribution to their community?

If you do then we want to know. If you are a registered member and logged in, check out the nomination form below.
